EID Dashboard Indicator Guide

The table below summarises the metrics highlighted on the EID home dashboard cards. Use it as a quick reference when interpreting the figures presented across laboratories and facilities.

Indicator Definition
Samples Received Total number of EID samples received in a particular PCR Lab including samples transferred to the same lab
Samples Rejected Total number of samples rejected at point of receipt and at point of testing.
Samples Transferred Total number of samples that were transferred to another PCR Lab for testing
Total EID Tests Done Total number of EID tests completed across PCR laboratories within the reporting window.
Unique Samples Tested Total number of Distinct samples that have been tested at least once during the reporting period excluding reruns.
Unique Patients Tested Total number of Distinct patients who had an EID test during the selected timeframe.
Valid Result Total number of tests done that resulted in a valid outcome(positive or negative).
Positive Results Total number of valid EID test results reported as positive in a PCR Lab.
Negative Results Total number of valid EID test results reported as negative in a PCR Lab.
Median TAT Median Turnaround Time (Median TAT) represents the middle value of all turnaround times recorded within a defined period in all PCR Labs. It measures the time interval between the start of a laboratory process (e.g., sample collection or receipt) and its completion (e.g., result verification or release). When all TAT values from all labs are arranged from shortest to longest, the median is the point at which half of the samples were completed faster and half took longer.
Results Approved Total number of valid results approved in the PCR Lab.
Results Accessed by EMR Total number of valid and approved results in a PCR lab accessed by EMR.
Lab Performance Composite performance score for PCR labs covering testing throughput, reporting timeliness, and other key KPIs.
